We don't collect, store, or share your personal data. Your tasks live entirely on your device in your browser's localStorage. We never see them. No accounts, no servers, no data sent anywhere.
Your task list and completed tasks are saved using your browser's localStorage API. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.
This website does not use cookies. LocalStorage is a browser-side storage mechanism distinct from cookies — it contains no tracking identifiers and is not transmitted with HTTP requests.
We currently use no analytics or tracking tools. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future (such as Plausible), we will update this policy and it will collect no personally identifiable information.
We load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Google may log the IP address of font requests. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. No other third-party services are used.
If you click "Get in touch" in the sponsor section, your email client opens a pre-addressed email. We receive only what you choose to send. This information is used solely to discuss sponsorship opportunities.
This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

One Thing is a free browser-based daily task picker. It is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
All task data is stored locally in your browser. You are solely responsible for backing up any data you wish to retain. We are not liable for data loss resulting from clearing browser storage, switching devices, or browser updates.
You agree not to use this service for unlawful purposes, to attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the application, or to use automated tools to access the service in a way that could damage or overload it.
Purchased printable products (such as The One Thing Daily Pad) are for personal use only. You may not redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit these files. All purchases are final — due to the digital nature of the product, we do not offer refunds unless the file is defective.
The One Thing name, design, and content are the property of onethingatthetime.com. You may not use our branding, design, or copy without written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, One Thing and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

One Thing does not use cookies of any kind — not for tracking, not for analytics, not for advertising.
We use your browser's localStorage to remember your task list between visits. This is fundamentally different from cookies: it is never transmitted to any server, it contains no tracking identifiers, and it is entirely under your control.
We load fonts from Google Fonts. This may result in Google's servers logging your IP address as part of the font delivery request. Google may use this for their own purposes. If this concerns you, you can use a browser extension to block Google Fonts requests — the site will fall back to system fonts and remain fully functional.
You can clear your localStorage data at any time through your browser settings (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cached data and cookies). This will reset your task list.
